Ask Hannah & Guest Book

“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.” ― Roger A. Caras

A message from Hannah:

Our rescue is based on the belief that the needs of your new dog and yours are of the utmost importance. Our entire rescue team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our adoptions are from referrals because of our remarkable reputation. We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and match you with a dog needing a loving forever home.

Here's something many of us have wondered about. Did you ever notice your dog going in circles and circles before it does its business? So, why do dogs spin in circles?

The new theory can be found on this Yahoo page: http://news.yahoo.com/magnetic-field-keeps-dogs-in-line-during-bathroom-breaks--study-184949050.html

I am pleased to note that little Wendy the Chihuahua was found safely.

Jim and Rita adopted Wendy in June 2011. Recently Wendy went missing. They wrote to us and we assured them that they can always count on Hope for Hannah Rescue to help in a jam like this. Remember to make sure your dog is licensed and is wearing

a name tag, and the Hope for Hannah adoption tag which will help with identification.

Terry asked Hannah, "Hi Hannah. How old are you?

Hannah replied, "Hi Terry, I am 3 years and 9 months old as of your question on September 3, 2013. I was born in December

of 2009. Thank you for asking."

Mike asked Hannah, "Where in Bartonsville are you located?"

Hannah replied, "Hi Mike. We do not have a facility. Hope for Hannah Rescue is a Foster Rescue Network. We rely totally on our volunteer foster families. We are always looking for fosters. There is more information about fostering on our How You Can Help page and if you are interested in fostering or adopting, you may fill out an application on our Contact Us page. Our adoptable dogs are listed on Adopt-A-Pet and Petfinder and there are quick links on the menu on our website. We are a 501(C)(3) Non-Profit Organization. Hope for Hannah Rescue is not affiliated with any other rescue or organization. You can read more about our mission on our Mission Statement page. Thank you for your interest in our rescue and visiting our website."

Adopting from your rescue is one of the better decisions our family has made in a while. We got Raylan (Nelson) in November as a young pup, and he's been just awesome. A smart, happy, fun dog, he's just over 9 months old, and we couldn't be happier. Hope his litter mates are both doing as well.

To all at Hope for Hannah Rescue (especially Suzi and Lori), we adopted Amos in November and he is nothing but pure joy. He will be 6 months old at the end of this week, and tomorrow he goes to get neutered (poor thing). I just wanted to drop a note of to you wonderful people to say thanks for all that you do. You are all my heroes!!!

I adopted Marnie, now Shine, three years ago and love her dearly. She's such a sweet girl and super friendly. It's hard to believe such a great dog would have died if your rescue hadn't stepped up. Since then. I've joined a local rescue, All Mutts Matter Foundation, and foster dogs. It's so awesome!

Hi Hannah! What a beautiful success story after all your trials and the blessing of a great caring staff to help you. We reached a more four year old Mastiff/Boxer named Mischa and she has been the joy to us as I know you are to your owners! It was wonderful to visit this sight seeking a vaccine clinic was my intent but found such joy perusing your website! Many blessings and joy Hannah is sent your way ! :-)

I am a reference for Kambra Kehler who wants to adopt Juliet. Kami is a wonderful pet owner who, no matter what the pet does or gets into, never punishes the pet or gives it up. She is a wonderful pet owner and pet lover. One of her adoptees was later found to have multiple health problems and she nurtured and loved her anyway until she died of natural causes. She truly loves unconditionally.

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know about a dog we adopted from you from. We picked him up at Pet smart in PA. He was from West VA and his name was Bo. All white with the Black over the left eye. Boxer, Lab mix. Just wanted to let you know, hes doing awesome. We are taking him to be fixed on Dec. 1 in Lehighton, PA. What I want to tell you, is that my husband and I decided to not send the paper back for our 100 dollar return, we want you to keep it as a donation for your rescue. Keep up the great work, and God bless all of you, for what you do for Gods creations! :) Kim and Ron Fitzpatrick

This is one of the most hard working rescue centers I have ever been in contact with. They truly care about the animals. Theirs lives are devoted to this cause. Anything you can do to help them would definite be effort well put forth. Financial or otherwise. Do not support puppy mills. Put those heartless people out of business. Animals are not a status symbols. They are loving, caring, feeling, creatures that only want to love you back. That does not take a pedigree.

Good Morning Hannah, It was my honor to do an animal communication reading on you yesterday. It showed how much you had been through. I am sending my healing reiki energy to you and making a special flower essence for you to assist you on your path. You are a miracle. Love Leslie
